ロボットと未来の社会 -Robots in Future Society- 初稿

These days, robots assist us in various ways and they help us to develop today’s technology. However, some people fear that the robots could have negative impact on our lives. In my personal opinion, robots will be evolved furthermore and we will make good use of them more and more since robots are necessary both for our present and our future society.

Robots are alternative labor resource especially in society with less children and more elderies. Hard jobs including dangerous and/or dirty tasks can be conducted by robots without hard burden. Furthermore, robots can conduct simple repeating tasks without being tired or boring instead of humans. Thanks to this, people can do more creative jobs. Without robots, humans would carry too hard burden to work and lack of labor resource would be serious problem in some societies.

Nevertheless, some people think robots could affect negatively on our society for the following reasons. First, there is a risk of decreasing opportunity of hiring. It is true some people will lost their jobs e.g., drivers of trains, taxis and buses due to development of automatic drive vehicles in the near future. Second, too much reliance on robots could cause severe problems in downtime or in the case of break down.

Considering both benefits and downsides, I personally think that robots bring us significant benefits and less disadvantages. As long as we can control them adequately, they provide us with great advantage. Since robots will continuously necessary for our lives in the future, we should consider how to live together with them.
